We are seeking a reliable and organized facilities director to oversee our building. The main responsibilities of this role include maintaining all facilities, services, and grounds. Additionally, the facilities director should provide a way for tenants to voice their concerns and complaints.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular assessments to identify any potential issues with the building and surrounding areas.
  • Manage budgets for both short-term and long-term maintenance needs.
  • Hire professionals, such as HVAC technicians, plumbers, and gardeners, as needed.
  • Schedule cleaning and maintenance for building amenities and surrounding grounds.
  • Implement security measures both inside and outside of the building.
  • Negotiate and manage service agreements to get the best rates.
  • Enforce building regulations and apply appropriate penalties for non-compliance.
  • Address and resolve tenant concerns and inquiries.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in facilities management, project management, or a related field.
  • Prior experience as a facilities director or in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of relevant health and safety codes.
  • Familiarity with maintenance needs for both old and new buildings.
  • Excellent negotiation and decision-making skills.
  • Strong leadership and communication abilities.
  • Ability to handle multiple responsibilities.
  • Availability to handle emergencies outside of regular working hours.
