We are looking for a motivated draftsman to join our team. As a draftsman, you will work with a group of professionals and be comfortable using both a computer and drafting table. While most of your work will be done in our office, there may be times when you need to travel and work on-site.
To be successful in this role, you must stay updated on drafting software and techniques. A great draftsman pays close attention to detail and has a strong understanding of their field.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Create technical drawings using CADD systems.
- Follow specifications and calculations to ensure accuracy.
- Collaborate with architects and engineers to incorporate their knowledge into drawings.
- Perform calculations for materials and weight limitations.
- Review and revise drawings with input from the engineering team.
- Ensure designs meet building regulations.
- Identify and communicate potential design issues to the team.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or architecture.
- Technical college degree also acceptable.
- Experience with CADD systems.
- Ability to draw by hand is preferred, but not required.
- Strong teamwork and independent work skills.
- Ability to handle constructive criticism and maintain a positive attitude.
