Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Reviewing building specifications, codes, and site plans
  • Creating technical drawings based on architects' designs and specifications
  • Using CAD software to include accurate measurements, calculations, and construction details in drawings
  • Printing CAD schematics for architects, construction managers, and engineers to use
  • Entering CAD data into building information modeling (BIM) systems to create 3-D models
