What does a Audio Technician do?

An audio technician, also known as a sound technician, helps with recording and producing sound. They work in places like recording studios, concert venues, and TV and radio stations. Their job is to set up sound equipment, check it, and make sure it sounds good.

Job Description

We are looking for someone to join our team as an audio technician. Your main responsibilities will be setting up and taking down sound equipment, running cables, and testing microphones and other equipment. We want someone who is good at working with both old and new sound equipment, and can also edit and record sound.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Set up and take down sound equipment
  • Run cables and make sure everything is connected correctly
  • Test sound equipment to make sure it sounds good
  • Check sound equipment for any problems and get it fixed if needed
  • Use mixing consoles to adjust sound and volume
  • Make sure customers are happy with the sound quality and setup
  • Suggest upgrades for equipment and software
  • Work with other audio technicians

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in a sound-related field
  • At least 1 year of experience in a sound management role
  • Advanced knowledge of sound and recording equipment
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to multitask

  • Good ear for different sounds
  • Technical skills
