Job Description

We need a detail-oriented and highly-skilled accounting coordinator who can handle multiple tasks. The coordinator will be the main contact between the accounting department and other departments like accounts payable and accounts receivable, as well as external parties such as vendors, clients, and lenders. They may also help with bookkeeping, preparing financial reports, taxes, and audits, and resolving any discrepancies. We are looking for someone who is analytical, collaborative, and trustworthy.

To be successful as an accounting coordinator, you should have a good understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting. You should also be ethical, thorough, and have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work with other accounting department members to gather, analyze, and report financial data.
  • Make journal or ledger entries.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and yearly financial reports and budgets.
  • Assist with tax preparation, audits, and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Act as a point of contact between internal departments and accounting, serving as a liaison between accounting and external parties like clients, suppliers, and lenders.
  • Use bookkeeping software and enter information into company files or databases to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
  • Make sure all company bills are paid and debts are collected.
  • Implement and enforce financial and inventory controls.
  • Stay up-to-date on company, local, state, and federal financial regulations and policies.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor?s degree in accounting, business, or related field.
  • Experience in bookkeeping, management, or a similar field may be required.
  • CPA certification may be preferred.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, time management, problem-solving, and math skills.
  • Good understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting and legislation.
  • Proficiency with computers, especially bookkeeping software, and strong typing skills.
  • High level of accountability, accuracy, and efficiency, especially when handling multiple tasks.
