Youth Soccer Coaching Supervisor

We are looking to hire an energetic part-time Youth Soccer Coaching Supervisor! In this role, you will start as a Head Coach in our program and then step into the role of Coaching Supervisor. As a coach, you will:
conduct fun, safe classes at a variety of locationsnsure coaches maintain required certifications
use individual attention to ensure every child has success.
use a non-competitive approach to ensure classes are fun with a stress-free environment.
use positive reinforcement to encourage children to do better and celebrate success.
understand that coaching is a continuous journey and keep yourself open to feedback.
strive to be better by attending regular trainings and following the Super Soccer Stars Coaching Manual.

As a Coaching Supervisor, you will:
ensure coaches are properly trained for their scheduled classes
ensure coaches are fulfilling all of their required duties by conducting regular coach evaluations and providing feedback
ensure coaches maintain required certifications
manage the schedule of coaches
communicate with the general manager and owner to provide updates regularly
step into a coaching role when needed (i.e. in case of call-outs or at demos)
liaise with parents as needed

At Soccer Stars, it's our goal to teach and build fundamental soccer skills in 1-14 years old (with our sweet spot being tots and preschoolers) in a fun and non-competitive environment. We use the soccer ball as a vehicle to provide a program that meets the needs of the whole child; physically, mentally, socially and emotionally. Our age-specific and skill-based curriculum has been developed by early childhood professionals and youth soccer experts. Our philosophy is to nurture, build self confidence and develop teamwork in a fun weekly class.

Our ideal candidate has prior experience working with children and soccer (as a sports coach, teacher, camper or leader). This position is excellent for someone who has an interest in pursuing early childhood education or child development. We are also interested in candidates with managerial experience.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

Reliable transportation to and from classes. Our territory encompasses areas throughout Research Triangle Park.

Enjoyment in working with children and experience working with children. We teach students 1-14 years of age and we want you to have fun during your coaching experiences!

Customer service skills. You will be expected to work with parents and students to ensure a high quality experience for all.

Ability to coach/supervise at flexible times throughout the week

Experience related to soccer
