GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
This position offers a unique opportunity, a less conventional work schedule, and the ability to work with a supportive team. Within the assigned dormitory and during active programming hours (10:00 PM - 8:00 AM), this position is responsible for providing supervision, safety, and security for adjudicated male youth ages 12-21 in a juvenile correctional setting. Duties include offering guidance, mentorship, and support; implementing appropriate correction and behavioral interventions; teaching and modeling positive skills; and coordinating daily services and activities to ensure a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment.
Preference may be given to applicants with at least one year of work experience with youth services. However, anyone interested in an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of youth is encouraged to apply. The Boys' School will provide training and mentorship to ensure that new team members have the resources and knowledge to succeed in this role.
