Position Overview:

Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is seeking a skilled Wound Care Specialist RN to assess, treat, and manage complex wounds and skin conditions in diverse healthcare settings. Qualifications:

• Education: Registered Nurse (RN) degree; additional training in wound care preferred.
• Licensure/Certifications:
• Current RN license in New Mexico.
• Certification in wound care (e.g., Wound Care Certified (WCC), Certified Wound Specialist (CWS).
• Experience: Proven experience in wound care management, including chronic and acute wounds.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in wound assessment, debridement techniques, advanced dressings, and documentation.
• Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, empathy, patient education skills, and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and evaluate wounds (e.g., pressure ulcers, diabetic ulcers, surgical wounds) to determine treatment plans.
• Perform wound debridement, dressing changes, and application of specialized therapies (e.g., negative pressure wound therapy).
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on proper wound care techniques and prevention strategies.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and physical therapists to coordinate holistic patient care.
• Monitor and document wound healing progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
• Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and regulatory standards.
• Maintain accurate records of wound assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
