Welder / Fabricator

Overview We're looking for a?Welder &?Fabricator?with a strong work ethic, who loves working with metal, is not afraid to get their hands dirty, and is an A-star team player. You will be instrumental in fabricating high-quality, custom metal fixtures and products for critical applications in the aerospace and defense industries. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in metal fabrication, with a strong background in welding and machining.

Pay: $30-34/hr

• Fabricate custom metal fixtures and products from beginning to end, including layout, shaping, and finishing.
• Fit, tack, and weld steel and aluminum parts in accordance with drawings and specifications using GMAW and GTAW processes.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications.
• Qualify welder performance in accordance with AWS and ASME codes and standards.
• Perform routine maintenance on welding and fabricating equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize fabrication processes and improve efficiency.
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safety protocols and best practices.

• Familiarity with our range of equipment, including CNC machines like the SNK Model RB-300F Bridge Type High-Speed 5-Axis Machining Center, Mazak AJV-25/404N Vertical Mill, and Okuma MC4VA Vertical Mill?.
• Experience with inspection equipment such as the API Radian R-50 Laser Tracker System, Mitutoyo CMMs, and Magnaflux Model H-700 Magnetic Particle Inspection Machine??.

• High school diploma (GED), trade school, or Associate's degree in Manufacturing Technology.
• 5-10 years of fabricating experience, with a strong background in welding and metal fabrication.
• Prior experience with mechanical equipment, close tolerance machining, and fabrication of custom-designed equipment.
• Familiarity with Quality Management Systems, accredited to standards such as ISO 9001:2015, AS9100D, and Nadcap.
• Strong knowledge of welding and metal fabrication processes.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and specifications.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
