Trailer Mechanic

Our client, a leader in the transportation industry, is seeking a Trailer Mechanic to join their team. As a Trailer Mechanic, you will be part of the maintenance department supporting the operations team. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Trailer Mechanic

Location: Jacksonville, FL

Pay Range:

$20-21 per hour

What's the Job?

Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on trailers, chassis, and containers.

Conduct major and minor repairs in accordance with established maintenance and safety standards.

Inspect and replace various components, including lights, tires, and mud flaps.

Complete repair orders and maintain shop cleanliness and safety compliance.

Support the culture of the organization by modeling core values and teamwork.

What's Needed?

High School Diploma or equivalent.

1-2 years of container/chassis/trailer repair experience preferred.

Knowledge of electrical, brake, and air systems, as well as DOT inspections.

Basic welding skills such as Oxy/Acetylene and MIG; welding certification preferred.

Ability to perform strenuous physical activity, including lifting up to 100 lbs.
