When not reeling in a trophy rainbow, brown, cutthroat, kokanee or pike, there are nearly five miles of scenic hiking and biking trails that await exploration. World Class Gold Medal trout fishing awaits you at Spinney Mountain Reservoir (https://cpw.state.co.us/placestogo/parks/SpinneyMountain) . It would be hard to find any that is better in such a peaceful and scenic setting.

AQUATIC NUISANCE SPECIES INSPECTOR: EMPLOYMENT STARTS FROM ICE OFF (APRIL or MAY) THROUGH OCTOBER 31, 2025, Positions at Eleven Mile and Spinney Mountain State Parks. A customer service based position that involves inspecting for invasive Zebra/Quagga Mussels, Milfoil or other plant species on boats and personal watercraft at an inspection point on the park. This is an important position for the protection of natural resources from non-native species that threaten wildlife, drinking water/irrigation and all water related outdoor recreation in the State of Colorado. Daily interaction with park visitors requires effective communication and public relations skills. Specific duties include but are not limited to:
INTERPRETER: EMPLOYMENT STARTS FROM MAY THROUGH APPROX SEPTEMBER 05, 2025, at Eleven Mile State Park. A customer based position that involves facilitating park interpretive and environmental education programs. Develop and present natural resources/historical related programs to park visitors. Specific duties may include, but not limited to:
PARK MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN: EMPLOYMENT STARTS APPROX. MARCH, APRIL OR MAY and goes to SEPTEMBER 05, 2025, depending on position. Responsible for all general park maintenance and cleaning of public facilities including: restrooms, showers, vault toilets, campsites, picnic areas, trails, etc.
VISITOR SERVICES TECHNICIAN:EMPLOYMENT STARTS APPROX. APRIL 19, 2025 through SEPTEMBER 05, 2025 at Eleven Mile. A customer service based position that involves working in the visitor center that provides information and handles all aspects of product sales to customer while providing support to the staff. Daily interaction with park visitors requires effective communication and public relations skills. The Visitor Services Technician welcomes visitors and provides park specific information that is key to the successful operation and safety of the park. Specific duties include but are not limited to:
