We have an immediate opening for an associate with a minimum of 2 years of municipal planning and development contracting experience, as well as experience or a strong interest in broadband, wireless and other telecommunications law topics. Experience with public hearings and/or litigation is also highly desirable.topics. Our clients are mainly local governments and public agencies that regulate the placement of communications facilities, lease/license communications infrastructure they own, or provide communications services. Position involves working closely with clients to: advise on wireless applications and assist with public review processes; draft cell site leases/licenses; draft ordinances regulating use of rights of way and private land by communications providers (including wireless); draft agreements and franchises with communications and cable companies; advise and advocate for local governments on policy matters before state and federal authorities such as in filings to the Federal Communications Commission and briefs in federal courts. companies.
