Job Description
Holland & Knight is seeking a Junior Associate for their industry-leading global Technology Transactions team. We are looking for candidates with 2 to 3 years of experience at a large law firm in technology transactions or experience in corporate transactional matters who are interested in joining a our leading global technology transactions practice. The candidate will either have experience working on enterprise technology transactions including strategic information technology and business process outsourcing, ERP licensing and implementation, Software licensing and Software as a Service Agreements; and similar commercial transactions, or relevant experience with other corporate transactional matters (e.g., mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance or intellectual property licensing) but willing to transition to a technology transaction practice. Ideally, candidates will be located in Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas or Boston but we will consider candidates in other offices.

This position may be filled in Illinois. In accordance with applicable Pay Transparency Laws, the pay range for this position in this location is $235,000 - $260,000/yr. This range may not be applicable to other locations. An individual?s actual compensation will depend on the individual?s qualifications and experience.
- Proven experience in drafting and negotiating a variety of complex technology, intellectual property, and data-related commercial contracts.
- Strong understanding of technology, intellectual property, and data privacy laws.
- Excellent analytical, drafting, and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex legal issues to non-legal stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- A proactive and solution-oriented mindset with a strong attention to detail.
- An interest in or experience with artificial intelligence and quantum computing is a plus.
- This candidate must reside and be barred in a jurisdiction where we currently have a U.S. office location (Offices | Holland & Knight (hklaw.com). Ideal candidates will be barred in Georgia, Illinois, Texas or Massachusetts (but can reside and work in one of our other office locations as long as also barred in that location). We believe that there is significant value in working together in person and will expect the candidate to work in the office at least three business days per week.
