Technology Engineer - Workplace Digitization

Our client, a leading bank in the UAE, is looking for a Technology Engineer - Digital Branches to drive innovation and implement cutting-edge digital banking solutions. This role will play a key part in transforming branch infrastructure, enhancing customer experience, and managing advanced banking technologies .

Experience Required:

• 5+ years of experience in setting up branch IT infrastructure
• 3+ years in a banking operational environment or equivalent
• 4+ years of expertise in ITIL Service Management processes (Change & Release Management)

In today's digital era, banking is evolving rapidly. Our client is investing in smart branch technology to improve customer engagement and operational efficiency. The Technology Engineer - Digital Branches will be responsible for implementing, maintaining, and optimizing digital branch solutions.

Branch Technology Implementation & Management

• Plan, coordinate, and execute branch/office setups and renovations
• Install, configure, operate, and maintain audio/visual (AV) systems and IT infrastructure
• Manage and optimize branch solutions, building management systems, and network servers
• Research, evaluate, and deploy emerging technologies to enhance customer engagement

IT Infrastructure & System Administration

• Manage Windows/Linux servers, network infrastructure (LAN/WAN), and databases
• Ensure system reliability, security, and efficiency across digital branches
• Automate routine tasks using scripting languages such as Python and Perl
• Monitor IT systems and provide proactive maintenance and troubleshooting

Project Management & Collaboration

• Collaborate with internal IT teams and external vendors to deliver key projects
• Ensure that technology projects are completed on time, within budget, and aligned with business goals
• Maintain project documentation, provide regular updates, and track performance metrics
• Work closely with stakeholders to identify new opportunities for branch technology enhancements

Stakeholder & Vendor Management

• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external vendors
• Work with telecom providers to ensure seamless connectivity for digital branches
• Ensure compliance with industry best practices and internal IT policies

Technical Expertise

• Strong background in IT Infrastructure Management
• Experience with Windows/Linux servers, network administration (LAN/WAN), and database management
• Hands-on experience with branch technology Video Walls, Smart Projectors, HoloLens, Robotics, Kiosks, Media Players, Access Control Systems, Biometric Security
• Ability to develop automation scripts in Python, Perl, or similar languages
• Understanding of ITIL Service Management (Change & Release Management)
• Strong knowledge of audio-visual technology for digital banking branches

Project & Budget Management

• Experience in budget planning, time management, and cost analysis
• Ability to track, report, and optimize project deliverables
• Experience in vendor negotiations and contract management

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work under tight deadlines

Education & Certifications

• University degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
• PMP or Prince2 certification preferred
• ITSM/ITIL certification is an added advantage
