Technician II - (Standard Desalt, Purified Tubes - Synthesis)

This Technician II position is part of the Standard Desalt and Tubes Value Stream located in Coralville, IA, and will be on-site. At IDT, we are one global team. We celebrate our differences, engage in healthy debate, and are inclusive. Together, we accomplish great things.

Shift: Monday - Friday, 7 PM to 7:30 AM

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

Synthesize oligonucleotides (oligos) on various synthesizer platforms, cleave and deprotect oligos, quantify and sample oligos for quality control (QC) tests. Attach modifications utilizing various techniques.

Use custom software packages to complete tasks and create final products. Assess QC data accurately and make pass/fail decisions for oligos. Keep thorough records of specialized processes in the oligo process history.

Prepare oligos for final shipment to customer or for further processing in other departments. Perform decontamination on liquid handling instruments.

The essential requirements of the job include:

Associate degree in a science related field or at least 18 months of lab experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Excellent computer skills with the ability to accurately use job aids in safety minded production of oligos.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

Bachelor's degree in a science related field preferred.

Life sciences experience, preferred.

Ability to perform and transition through a variety of tasks with concurrent deadlines daily with urgency and efficiency while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
