Drafting Technician II

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

Create detailed 3D part and assembly designs, as well as 2D drawings and specifications using CAD software.

You will also prepare and maintain manufacturing specifications and Bills of Materials (BOMs), while ensuring adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions.

Collaborate with Engineering by working with solid model data created by engineers to create detailed drawings and specifications.

You will also provide input on drafting issues and provide process improvements to the engineering staff.

Perform intermediate-level revisions of drawings through formal Engineering Change Order (ECO) processes, while troubleshooting and resolving specification discrepancies by collecting and analyzing CAD data.

The essential requirements of the job include:

Associate degree in CAD/Mechanical Engineering Technology (or a related field) preferred.

Equivalent experience considered in leu of degree

Proficiency in using advanced CAD software (e.g., Solid Edge)

2+ years of experience in a drafting or technical role

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing standards (GD&T) or ASME certification in GD&T.

Previous work experience in a regulated industry such as medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or aerospace with an understanding of compliance and documentation requirements.

Managing and maintaining CAD data within a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system, particularly Teamcenter.
