Technical Writer

seeking a qualified candidate to a fill Senior Technical Writer role in Laurel, MD (Onsite Work)
Background: The Technical Writer will engage with Customer Service leadership, project managers, training specialists, subject matter experts (SMEs), and end-users to gather accurate information and ensure documentation reflects processes and procedures accurately.

• They will create clear, comprehensive, and user-friendly documentation/media, including:
• User manuals and operational guides (e.g., user guides, quick reference guides)
• Training materials (e.g., brochures, presentations)
• Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for maintenance and troubleshooting
• Instructional Videos

The Technical Writer will be expected to leverage industry best practices in technical writing and use documentation and video production tools to produce high-quality, professional documentation/media tailored to the organization s needs.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor s degree in English, Communication, Business Management, or a related field
• General Experience: Six (6) years of senior-level experience. Ten years of relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of a bachelor s degree.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in a technical writing position
• Specialized Experience AP style guide experience (Preferred); SOW and RFP development experience (Preferred)
• Skillset Technical Skills: Proficient in documentation tools and version control. Understanding of software and project development processes.
• Writing Skills: Capable of clear and concise writing tailored to various audiences, with strong editing and familiarity with style guides.
