Tech & Data Associate

Overview: Fredrikson is seeking to hire an associate attorney in our Data Protection, Cyber Security and Technology + Data Group with 1-5 years of experience within a law firm or in-house environment. The ideal candidate will have experience advising companies regarding, comprehensive privacy laws including the CCPA, CPA, VCDPA, CTDPA, GDPR, etc. A practice primarily focused on data privacy compliance and security incident response/planning is a plus. Preferred qualifications include CIPP certification and experience in AI governance and advice. Ideal Candidates Will Have: 1-5 years of experience within a law firm and/or in-house legal environment Experience drafting and reviewing data processing agreements, information security agreements, software, SaaS, and IP and IT license, development and services agreements Strong academic background J.D. from an ABA-Accredited Law School Active attorney license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction and ability to be promptly admitted in the state of Minnesota Our Benefits: Our comprehensive benefits options include medical, dental, vision, basic and supplemental life insurance, short-and long-term disability, employee resource benefits (inclusive of counseling, coaching, and care-giving guidance), parenting classes, paid-parental leave, pre-tax parking and transportation options and paid parking for senior associates, and much more!
