Tax Associate

Foster Garvey is seeking a Tax Associate with 3 or more years of relevant experience to join its Tax and Benefits Group in Portland.Portland or Seattle. The associate will work on significant projects with a successful team and will have access to a full-service, bi-coastal platform to attract and grow a book of business. They will also provide day-to-day counseling to the Firm?s existing clients on state and federal income tax matters, including structuring sophisticated transactions in various industry sectors. The successful candidate will have:

• JD from an ABA-accredited law school and license to practice law;
• LL.M. in Tax;
• 3 or more years of income tax experience;
• Law firm experience required;
• Strong academic credentials and excellent analytical and writing skills;
• A client-service approach and exceptional communication skills;
• Enthusiasm to work with and build a diverse team;
• The ability to manage significant individual responsibilities.

Salary Range:

The annualized salary range for this position is $175,000 to $220,000.$235,000. Actual pay will be adjusted based on the candidate?s experience, location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
