Systems Engineer

We are seeking a self-motivated System Engineer to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will take ownership of tasks, continuously develop their knowledge, and ensure our systems run efficiently and remain available to the business. You will work closely with the SysAdmin team to implement, manage, and maintain infrastructure solutions for both client-facing software and internal platforms.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 2nd/3rd line support, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
• Administer and optimize server infrastructure (both Azure and On-Premise) to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Implement best practices in security and compliance, monitoring systems to ensure ongoing security.
• Analyze and investigate log files for fault finding and security concerns.
• Monitor, configure, and maintain network devices, including switches, firewalls, and routers.
• Administer software and OS upgrades/patch management for servers.
• Work with the team on system monitoring solutions and Hyper-V server hardware deployment.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation for infrastructure and train support team members on system tasks.

Requirements:

• Experience in a similar role, working closely with Support Engineers and senior IT staff.
• Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
• Willingness to work additional hours, including weekends and after-hours for maintenance and implementation as needed.

Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with a one-hour lunch break. Flexibility for extra hours as required by the business.
