We are hiring a Superintendent to oversee geotechnical construction projects in Colfax, NC. This is a full-time, on-site role with a salary range of $100,000$120,000.
In this role, you will manage all aspects of jobsite activities, including equipment, work planning, and team coordination. You will ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget while adhering to quality control guidelines. Your responsibilities will include mobilizing job sites, managing crews of 315 people, tracking materials and equipment, and maintaining clear communication with the General Superintendent and Project Managers.
Review job plans and project requirements.
Manage crew responsibilities and daily goals.
Ensure equipment is in safe working condition and coordinate maintenance.
Conduct safety toolbox talks and enforce PPE compliance.
Complete daily reports, job logs, and documentation.
Interface with clients to ensure timely project completion.
To qualify, you will need a high school diploma (technical training is a plus) and 24 years of experience in geotechnical or field construction. A valid driver's license is required, and certifications such as 30-Hour OSHA, Off-Road Forklift, and ACI Nozzleman must be obtained within the first 12 months of employment. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential.
This role requires travel, with potential travel exceeding 95% depending on job locations. You must be able to work in outdoor environments, lift up to 75 pounds, and handle typical field conditions, including noise and temperature variations.
