What you'll be doing

Reporting to the Controller, you will be responsible for recording financial transactions and preparing and reviewing financial documents. Key responsibilities:

• General Ledger : Maintain and reconcile assigned general ledger accounts ensuring all transactions are accounted for on a timely basis
• Journal Entries: Record assigned recurring journal entries, ensuring supporting documentation is prepared and maintained in accordance with current policies & procedures
• P&L Analysis: Perform monthly P&L analysis versus budget with the goal of improving company-wide access to data critical to decision making
• Technology Improvements: Assist in the implementation of technology tools to support improved business processes

What we need from you

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or relevant field, or equivalent experience in lieu of degree
• 2+ years experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable, with experience in accounting for a manufacturing company strongly preferred
• Proven ability to drive necessary process improvements through cross department collaboration
• Passionate commitment to demonstrating Firetrace values and behaviors
• Experience in fixed assets, credit and collections, general ledger management, or sales tax a plus.
• Docuphase or other document management system experience is helpful, but not required.
