Job Description
The incumbent will be responsible to manage and advise on legal matters PAN India, pertaining to corporate laws and collection / recoveries.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Give accurate and timely counsel to the management team in a variety of legal topics not limited to, labour law, partnerships, corporate finance, other ventures, etc.
- Collaborate with management to devise efficient defense strategies.
- Possess strong knowledge of legal strategies and various tools in collections and recovery matters
- Research and evaluate different risk factors regarding business decisions and operations.
- Apt in dealing with filing of various sections as applicable, lodging complaints, FIRs and execution of Warrants.
- Apply effective risk management techniques and offer proactive advice on possible legal issues.
- Draft and solidify agreements, contracts and other legal documents are in the best interest of the company and fully compliant.
- Deal with complex matters with internal and external stakeholders / regulatory bodies.
- Should be equipped to represent the company at courts, tribunals and forums, if required.
- Provide clarification on legal language, specifications or interpretation to everyone in the organization.
- Maintain current knowledge of updates in various laws pertaining to lending, digital lending and all related corporate laws.
- Should be well versed with drafting of legal notices to the respondents on his/her Letterhead as required by the Company.
- Should be able to attend to the respondents, in case of any calls and/or emails, and forward the same to the respective stakeholders.
- Use personal Advocate's email address for the legal communication as applicable
- The ability to take ownership of projects and tasks, and bring them to completion promptly and effectively
- Should be flexible and provide support to priority and urgent matters.
Requirements
- Must have a valid Advocate's Certificate of Practice as recognized in India.
- 6-9 years years of relevant experience working in the collection / recovery processes.
- Having knowledge of Recovery laws and is able to assist in strategy development and implementation.
- Good network of lawyers and authorities PAN India will be an added advantage.
- Strong expertise in research, negotiation, commercial and handling disputes / grievances.
- High proficiency in examining and recognizing typical legal difficulties in intricate commercial transactions.
- Experience in a wide range of corporate and business laws.
- The capacity to identify problems, propose/implement solutions, and analyze business processes.
