About the Role

DoorDash is hiring an exceptional, business-minded deal lawyer to join our Commercial Legal team. You work alongside them with key partners throughout the company, including Business Development, Strategy, and Finance, to close first-of-kind strategic partnerships and high-value deals. You'll work on a wide variety of deal types, many of which enable DoorDash to open new routes to market. You'll also be the lead on major deals and projects that make an immediate impact on our fast-growing, dynamic business. Above all, you'll help our business partners and executives solve problems and take down roadblocks.

We're looking for an experienced negotiator with a strong work ethic, excellent analytical and communication skills, and incredibly solid fundamentals as a lawyer. The ideal candidate will be an empathetic leader who is creative and curious, is a self-starter who takes ownership over initiatives, and is hands-on taking into consideration the lowest level of detail.

You will report into the Director, Commercial Legal, who leads the team that supports all strategic partnership deals for DoorDash Legal.

• You have a J.D. and are admitted to any US state bar.
• You have 8+ years legal experience in a law firm or in-house legal department, including 4+ years house.
