We have an immediate opening for full and part-time , pediatric speech-language pathologists who are playful, enthusiastic, caring, compassionate, resourceful, and motivated. Responsibilities:

  • Completion of documentation for all pre-authorizations, initial evaluations, re-evaluations, assessments, insurance reports, medical reviews, appeal processes and progress reports
  • Administer evaluations, tests, or examinations to pediatric patients to collect information on type and degree of impairments
  • Develop or implement individualized treatment plans for speech-language issues
  • Collects accurate data and makes data-based decisions
  • Writes reports and completes daily documentation, including the initial evaluation, treatment, progress, and discharge of clients
  • Maintain communication with families, doctors, schools, and other relevant service providers ensuring communication related to the client's program
  • Creates home programs to foster an environment for skills that will carry over into the home, and educates family members about various topics, such as communication techniques or strategies
  • Monitor patient's progress and adjust treatments accordingly
  • Maintain caseload and productivity
  • Collaborates with multidisciplinary team and participates in all team and individual meetings
  • Follows policies and procedures as established by the organization
  • Follows company procedures for canceling/scheduling clients, as necessary
  • Maintains and contributes to clinic cleanliness/organization (daily and weekly)
  • Maintains a safe work environment and creates/maintains an orderly and organized clinic

Requirements

  • SLP-CF or SLP-CCC
  • Current license from the State of Illinois in Speech Language pathology
  • 1-year communications experience, preferred
  • 1-year pediatrics experience, preferred
  • Strong knowledge of child development (specifically birth to 18 years), preferred
  • Experience with and passion for working with children, preferred
  • Personable, playful, positive, and patient with the ability to effectively build rapport with children and families
  • Excellent and effective verbal and written communication skills with all levels of internal and external audiences, ability to maintain confidentiality, positivity, and professionalism
  • Self-motivated with the willingness and accountability to exceed client expectations
  • Analytical mind and solutions-driven thinking
  • Detail oriented with the ability to organize and prioritize tasks, as well as multi-task in a fast-paced office environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Works well with others, as well as independently in a supportive manner and can forge and maintain relationships
  • Must be willing to be fingerprinted and pass a background check
  • Must be dog-friendly - we have therapy dogs in the office
