Job Description and Responsibilities This is a full-time, on-site role as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) serving a school located in Oklahoma City, OK. The Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) will be responsible for providing therapy services to students, conducting screeners, monitoring progress, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams (therapists, educators, parents). The role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a passion for working with students with special needs.

• Full-time or part-time school-based opportunity (20-37hrs)
• 2026?2027 academic year (August through May 2027)
• In-person position at a district school
• Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) supporting students from PreK through 12th grade

• Provide direct speech-language intervention under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Assist with therapy preparation, treatment planning, and implementation of individualized communication goals.
• Work closely with the supervising SLP, teachers, and school staff to coordinate student services and support.
• Participate in consultations and collaborative planning to promote student success across educational settings.
• Complete service documentation and maintain accurate records in accordance with district and state requirements.

• Ongoing mentorship and collaboration from both the school district and the TheraPeds clinical team
• Guaranteed paid hours each week, including time dedicated to:
• Student therapy sessions
• Documentation and progress notes
• Administrative tasks
• Treatment planning and preparation
• Reasonable caseloads that support quality care and work-life balance

• Competitive pay ranging from $40?$45+ per hour, based on experience
• Estimated weekly earnings of $1,500?$1,687+, depending on assignment and schedule

Requirements Qualifications

• Valid SLPA Certification from an ASHA approved institution
• State License as Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant, where required
• Department of Education Licensure as a SLPA, where required
• Experience working with children
• Experience in a school setting preferred, but not required
• Organizational and time management skills
• Proficient in use of technology

• Ability to collaborate with school staff and parents with a demonstrated ability to exercise a high level of tact and discretion in both internal and external communications

Physical Requirements Working and playing with students requires that employees must be able to perform the necessary physical movement functions, as needed, such as lifting, sitting, walking, standing, crawling, and engaging with students in all physical locations and activities, while adhering to the duties outlined by the district.
