Special Litigation And Compliance Associate

Snell & Wilmer's San Diego office seeks to hire an associate with three to six years of litigation experience to join its Special Litigation and Compliance practice group. This position will focus on the representation of public entities, through advice and counsel, transactional work, and limited litigation/writs. The ideal candidate will have experience with the Brown Act, public meetings, public contracting, Public Records Act, and general California public laws. Work will include writing staff reports, resolutions, and contracts, as well as researching legal issues and attending board meetings. Excellent research and writing skills, with significant public speaking experience, are necessary. In addition, experience with water, wastewater, public hospitals, or joint powers authorities would be a plus. This is a full-time, partnership-track position that is eligible to participate in the firm's benefit plans, including our 401K Profit Sharing and Savings Plan with discretionary employer contribution, and is eligible for consideration for annual discretionary bonuses. The annual base salary range for candidates placed in California is expected to be $225,000-$270,000, depending on experience.
