Job Description

Location: Bangalore/Philippines (Cross-border opportunity)

Company: Buhay (A subsidiary of Jai Kisan)

Duration: 3-6 Months

Stipend: INR 15,000 per month

We are looking for a Software Engineer Intern to join our engineering team at Buhay. This cross-border opportunity will involve collaborating with teams in both India and the Philippines, working on real-world fintech solutions.

Job Responsibilities:

Assist in designing, coding, testing, and deploying scalable software solutions.
Collaborate with product and engineering teams to improve existing products and features.
Work with stakeholders across India and the Philippines to ensure seamless product development.
Participate in code reviews, debug issues, and ensure adherence to best practices.
Support integration of third-party APIs and internal tools.
Participate in Agile ceremonies like sprint planning and stand-ups.
Maintain documentation for software changes and processes.
Stay updated on the latest technologies and propose improvements

Requirements

Roles and Responsibilities:

Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, IT, or related fields.
Proficiency in one programming language (Java, Python, JavaScript, or Go).
Familiarity with web development frameworks (React, Angular, Node.js, or Django).
Basic understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, and databases (SQL/NoSQL).
Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is a plus.
Experience with version control (Git).
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Willingness to work in a cross-cultural, distributed team.
