Software Engineer Intern

Location: Bangalore/Philippines (Cross-border opportunity)

Company: Buhay (A subsidiary of Jai Kisan)

Duration: 3-6 Months

Stipend: INR 15,000 per month

We are looking for a Software Engineer Intern to join our engineering team at Buhay. This cross-border opportunity will involve collaborating with teams in both India and the Philippines, working on real-world fintech solutions.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist in designing, coding, testing, and deploying scalable software solutions.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to improve existing products and features.
• Work with stakeholders across India and the Philippines to ensure seamless product development.
• Participate in code reviews, debug issues, and ensure adherence to best practices.
• Support integration of third-party APIs and internal tools.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies like sprint planning and stand-ups.
• Maintain documentation for software changes and processes.
• Stay updated on the latest technologies and propose improvements

Requirements

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, IT, or related fields.
• Proficiency in one programming language (Java, Python, JavaScript, or Go).
• Familiarity with web development frameworks (React, Angular, Node.js, or Django).
• Basic understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, and databases (SQL/NoSQL).
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is a plus.
• Experience with version control (Git).
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Willingness to work in a cross-cultural, distributed team.
