Software Development Manager, Amazon Pay India - Credit & Lending

What are we looking for: You are innovative, resourceful, flexible and self-directed. You have experience in building high throughput and scalable applications. You gain the respect of software engineers, software test engineers and product managers quickly and you're able to excite customers, internal stakeholders and your team about vision of product and roadmap. You also like to roll up your sleeves and get hands on when necessary. Our ideal candidate prioritizes well, communicates clearly and compellingly, understands how to drive a high level of focus and excellence with a strong team and has a demonstrable track record of success building teams and delivering new features or products.

Basic Qualifications

7+ years of engineering experience

3+ years of engineering team management experience

Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations

Experience partnering with product or program management teams

Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy

Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers
