This person has strong design and implementation experience and a strong knowledge of web services and protocols.

As a Software Development Engineer II, you will design, manage and own technologies in Delivery programs space and. you will have significant influence on our overall strategy by helping define new product features, drive the system architecture, and spearhead the best practices that enable a quality product.

Key job responsibilities

As a key member of our team, you will design and build the next-generation systems, revolutionizing the delivery experience for millions of customers worldwide.

Collaborating closely with product and partner teams, you will:

Design and implement innovative features

Contribute to all aspects of agile software development (design, architecture, development, documentation, testing, and operations)

Own end-to-end solutions, pushing the boundaries of design and architecture through full-stack development

Your focus on building highly scalable, low-latency, intelligent software will have a profound impact on customer experience. To excel in this role, you possess:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Strong self-drive and motivation

Ability to deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment

Basic Qualifications

3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
