The Kindle Design Studio is seeking a talented, creative, and customer-obsessed Senior User Experience designer to join our team.
A day in the life
Love creating high-bar, high-visibility UX and UI? Interested in the unique challenges and opportunities of designing for Kindle reading experiences? We offer a creative and ownership-centric work environment where you'll be driving a key part of the core Kindle experience as you help Kindle deliver on the promise of making every book in every language available on demand, everywhere customers want to read.
You are strategic and highly collaborative and will work closely with a team of passionate designers, user researchers, product managers, and software developers to create the interaction flows, visual style, and assets for new and existing applications and experiences.

Basic Qualifications
8+ years of UX designer or interaction designer experience
Have an online portfolio or samples of work on resume, demonstrating experience creating great end-to-end, user-centered design solutions and patterns, across desktop and mobile devices
Experience with design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign and prototyping in HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Ajax
Preferred Qualifications
Experience applying scrum to visual or UX design processes
Experience with UX design of complex workflows

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $127,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $211,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
