We are seeking a highly skilled Plant Controller to join our client's team at a manufacturing site located approximately an hour and 45 minutes southwest of Chicago. We need a

strategic, yet hands-on

professional bringing

at least 10 years' experience from a manufacturing plant . Incumbent should be a problem-solver with prior managerial experience; This role has approximately seven direct reports.

Responsibilities:

Oversee all financial operations of the plant, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.

Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.

Implement and maintain cost accounting systems and procedures.

Ensure compliance with GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley regulations.

Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making.

Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Collaborate with other departments to optimize financial performance and operational efficiency.

Manage ERP systems, with a preference for SAP.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

At least 10 years of experience in the manufacturing sector, with a strong background in cost accounting.

Advanced degree (Master's) in a related field is a plus.

Professional certifications such as CPA or CMA are highly desirable.

Proven leadership and management experience.

Proficiency in ERP systems, with SAP experience preferred.

In-depth knowledge of GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley regulations.
