We make our devices easily discoverable and available through every channel, and develop relationships with retailers and partners across the large and complex retail landscape in India.

Amazon Devices is looking for a dynamic leader to build the large format retail channel in India. This is a national role where you would own the relationships with tier 1 retailers like Croma, Reliance. The leader has to cultivate existing channels extracting sales & develop new channels to unlock long term growth. You would work on creation of sales promotion strategy with strong rigor on last mile execution. You would partner with internal cross functional teams & external field force to deliver on sales targets.

Key job responsibilities

Execute the strategy of how Amazon Devices are deployed in large format retail channel.

Own identifying, pitching and negotiating retail listing and distribution agreements that enable the sales of Amazon Devices through large format retail channel.

Owns and leads engagements with senior leadership at retailers to support the continued growth and financial sustainability of Amazon Devices.

Inspect processes and mechanisms across the team that track sales forecasts, determine allocations, and plan shipments for each SKU/program.

Owns the retailer P&L and is responsible for finding opportunities to save costs and improve financial health of Amazon Devices.

Owns a voice-of-the-customer feedback mechanism to influence product roadmaps, product features and address customer pain points.

Develop and track senior leader level goals with partner teams to ensure business objectives are met.

Serve as the single threaded owner for all joint business planning (JBP) meetings with CXOs of retailers & Amazon Devices.

Basic Qualifications

5+ years of sales experience

5+ years of digital sales, account management, business development, or partner management experience

Experience analyzing data and best practices to assess performance drivers

Experience and understanding of the retail and wholesale landscape in India and exposure to prior interactions with sellers and distributors

Experience managing and growing complex business relationship at scale

Experience in negotiating terms of trade with retailers at the CXO level.

Experience in managing a P&L.

Adept at managing both strategic and operational aspects of the role.

Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work successfully with teams across the organization, including marketing, product management, customer service, legal, finance, and senior leadership.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and make things happen in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a strong bias for action.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience personally closing large complex deals end-to-end

Experience developing and executing sales strategies, tactics, plans, processes, systems and programs

Proven track record of cultivating existing sales channels & developing new channels to drive business outcomes.

Experience in consumer electronics retail, E Commerce, FMCG or consumer durable categories.

Prior experience of managing large format retail stores in consumer electronics space is preferred.

Highly analytical, including demonstrated ability to convert raw data into actionable insights and recommendations.

Ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a fast-paced and often ambiguous environment.

Excellent communicator, with a track record of using writing to drive decisions and outcomes.
