Your Career

We are seeking an experienced Senior Global Events Manager who is passionate about reshaping events in today's dynamic landscape, with a strong focus on innovation and delivering exceptional attendee experiences. In this role, you will oversee Palo Alto Networks' participation in our most high-profile industry 3rd party and proprietary events. These events may also include hospitality and sporting activities, executive-focused programs, 3rd party trade shows, and other corporate events as needed.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of how business units collaborate and integrate with Global Events, ensuring seamless alignment. As a strategic, impact-driven leader, you will work cross-functionally with key teams?including product marketing, PR, sales, demand generation, executive leadership, corporate communications, and Go-To-Market business units?to amplify company initiatives, brand campaigns, and event pipeline objectives. This role is pivotal in driving alignment across departments and ensuring that all events contribute to broader company goals.

Your Impact

Lead and oversee the execution of multiple flagship events within the Global Events portfolio driving Palo Alto Networks' influence in the Cybersecurity space

Plan and execute ancillary and adjacent activities around events, ensuring Palo Alto Networks is recognized as a leader in Cybersecurity

Drive the awareness and amplification efforts surrounding events by collaborating with the social media team and demand generation, ensuring our target audiences are informed on how to engage with PANW experts

Research and define personas for each event to maximize relevance and impact

Deliver exceptional attendee experiences that drive engagement, participation, and strong post-event follow-up

Ensure consistent messaging across all event touchpoints, working closely with broader marketing teams

Manage event budgets effectively, ensuring spend is tracked and aligned with targets

Develop strong cross-functional relationships with Product, Customer Success, and Sales teams to ensure alignment on event strategies and objectives

Embrace a problem-solving mindset, always seeking innovative solutions to challenges that arise

Effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously, balancing competing priorities while maintaining attention to detail and high-quality outcomes

Demonstrate a solution-oriented attitude, tackling challenges with enthusiasm

Audience Acquisition Strategy:

Identify target audiences and develop segmentation strategies based on attendee personas

Create and implement audience acquisition campaigns to promote and drive event attendance

Collaborate with the cross-functional teams to map out tasks and set expectations for audience engagement

Sales Enablement:

Collaborate with Sales Enablement leads to equip internal teams with effective tools and information to promote event attendance

Develop enablement assets sales teams to facilitate lead follow-up post-event

Performance Measurement:

Analyze event performance metrics, including MQLs (Marketing Qualified Leads), pipeline contributions, attendance rates, and engagement

Collaborate with the analytics team to assess the effectiveness of event campaigns and identify areas for improvement

Prepare and present reports on campaign outcomes to inform future event strategies and adjustments

Your Experience

+ Entrepreneurial self-starter with 8+ years of experience delivering successful event experiences, with a strong background in virtual in person hybrid events

Exceptional written, verbal, and visual presentation skills to communicate effectively with both internal teams and external stakeholders

Creative, collaborative, and resourceful with a proven ability to develop innovative event solutions.

Strong ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment while ensuring attention to detail and meeting deadlines

Data-driven mindset, focused on setting and measuring KPIs and pipeline metrics to drive event success and ROI

Expertise in using online event platforms and tools (web, registration, mobile) for digital, live-streamed, and in-person events

Experience in managing both digital and in-person event environments, including leading internal and external production teams

Proven background in working within an integrated marketing or demand generation organization to align event strategies with broader business goals

Positive, motivated, and a self-starter with a proactive approach to challenges and change

Comfortable navigating ambiguity and taking the initiative to define clear paths forward

Strong budget and financial management skills to ensure efficient resource allocation and cost control

Ability to influence leadership with a clear understanding of their programs, delivering insights and recommendations with confidence

Excellent presentation skills, with the confidence to speak in front of large groups and effectively lead multiple meetings

Thrive in a fast-paced environment, staying adaptable and quick to pivot in response to shifting priorities and evolving business needs

Ability to travel 30-40% throughout the year

Compensation Disclosure

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $129,000/yr - $209,000/yr.
