Senior Financial Analyst, CorpDev Finance

Amazon seeks a talented professional to work with its broader Corporate Development organization focused on the AWS business. The person in this high-visibility role will be responsible for helping to evaluate a wide range of AWS opportunities, including M&A, investments, and other strategic partnership opportunities. In addition, the person in this position will assist in due diligence; conduct extensive industry research, potential partners, and investment strategies. The person will communicate findings and recommendations to our senior management and executive team.

This position plays a key, active role on a small team that drives corporate transactions across AWS businesses. The person will support senior management decision-making by leading the financial analyses and thinking that guide strategy formation. Many assignments will be highly ambiguous and require an independent, intellectually curious individual who can frame situations through multiple lenses including of the end-customer, business owner, and corporate finance professional.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree

3+ years of corporate development, private equity, investment banking, or equity research experience with a focus on technology, software, or semiconductor industries

Preferred Qualifications

High proficiency with corporate valuation techniques, financial modeling, and accounting acumen

Advanced analytical skills

Fluency with Excel and supporting financial software (e.g. FactSet, S&P Capital IQ)

Excellent business judgment

Persuasive oral/written communication skills

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $164,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
