Summary

This position plays a critical role in supporting all aspects of the financial and fund reporting and support needs of Community Relations and the various financial instruments used to manage its operations. The work requires advanced knowledge gained from a prolonged course of specialized instruction, experience, and expertise. The position includes work requiring the consistent exercise of discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance.

Scope

This position performs complex financial procedures, prepares financial plans and reports on a periodic and ad hoc basis. This position is also responsible for coordinating all financial transactions, ensuring that proper accounting, due diligence and compliance protocols are adhered to, and for leading the annual audit processes. This requires an understanding of the business environment, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles for corporations and nonprofits, including private foundations, and of Community Relations operations. This role provides the key linkage between Community Relations and the planning process, and actively contributes to the control of the function.
