Senior Financial Analyst, Amazon Q

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to be a key member of the Amazon Q team. This role will own end to end finance support including P&L management and planning for Amazon Q services. Additionally, this role will drive strategic new Generative AI feature launches and process improvements across the organization. The successful candidate will be able to communicate effectively, manage multiple and time sensitive deliverables across a highly matrixed organization, along with managing risks and opportunities. The individual will also possess strong business partnership skills and collaborate effectively with key stakeholders.

Key job responsibilities

Take the lead in financial planning; build complex financial models and analytical tools to measure overall financial performance

Owning the GenAI services end to end, and influence business decisions that drive revenue and/or capital expenditures

Support strategic new GenAI features launch and ad-hoc requests and assist in various requests from finance and business leadership.

Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements including automation and coordination with upstream and downstream organizations.

Partner with finance teams across AWS to standardize, streamline, and prioritize improvements, remove roadblocks, and increase the reliability and efficiency of reporting.

Basic Qualifications

3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience

Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

Experience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses

Preferred Qualifications

4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience

MBA, or CPA

4+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience

4+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
