Job Description

Direct Counsel is seeking a Senior Associate to join the "tactical opportunities" finance practice within the Financial Restructuring Group of a prestigious Am Law 100 firm. This position is based in the New York office and offers a dynamic opportunity to work on high-level finance transactions across diverse industries.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and run complex finance transactions, primarily on the lender side
Engage in front-end and back-end transactions for financial institutions, private credit funds, hedge funds, alternative lenders, sponsors, and private companies
Handle distressed credit, bespoke finance transactions, and stressed/distressed credit matters
Oversee liability management transactions, debt restructuring, covenant reviews, collateral analysis, and intercreditor/subordination arrangements
Originate new transactions and manage existing capital structures

Key Qualifications:

Senior associate with extensive experience in finance and/or secured bond transactions
Proven ability to lead multiple financing or debt capital market high-yield transactions from inception to close
Experience managing mid-level and junior associates and working collaboratively in a team setting
Law firm experience and admission to the New York State Bar are required

Compensation:
The salary range for this position is $420,000 to $435,000 annually, with actual compensation determined based on experience and other relevant factors.
