Senior Digital Site Designer

As a Senior Digital Site Designer, you'll be the driving force behind eye-catching, trend-forward, and high-converting website designs. You will work at the intersection of creativity and commerce, ensuring that Tarte's digital presence reflects the latest design trends, beauty aesthetics, and best-in-class UX/UI.

This role requires Shopify platform experience, with the ability to create, customize, and optimize digital experiences that are both visually stunning and performance-driven.

• Conceptualize, design, and refine visually compelling website layouts, landing pages, and digital campaigns that captivate and engage customers.
• Develop high-fidelity UI designs, wireframes, and interactive prototypes with a strong focus on aesthetics and functionality.
• Push creative boundaries with bold, trend-driven visuals, animations, and interactive elements that elevate the brand's digital storytelling.
• Maintain and evolve Tarte's Digital Design System, ensuring cohesive branding across all digital touchpoints.

• Design and optimize Shopify-based themes, templates, and landing pages to enhance the user experience and drive conversions.
• Ensure all website designs are responsive, mobile-first, and optimized for performance.
• Follow ADA compliance regulations
• Work closely with developers to implement and refine designs within Shopify's Liquid framework.
• Conduct UX/UI audits, analyze heatmaps, and leverage A/B testing to optimize site performance and user engagement.

• Stay ahead of digital design trends, beauty aesthetics, and eCommerce innovations, bringing fresh ideas to the table.
• Identify emerging UX/UI trends, interactive elements, and motion design techniques to elevate the shopping experience.
• Research competitors and industry leaders to ensure Tarte remains at the forefront of digital design innovation.

• Work closely with eCommerce, Digital Marketing, and Brand Creative teams to align design strategies with business objectives.
• Partner with developers to ensure seamless execution of all digital designs.
• Present concepts and creative rationale to stakeholders, advocating for bold, impactful, and user-first design choices.

• 7+ years of website design experience, preferably in beauty, fashion, or eCommerce.
• Expertise in Shopify design (theme customization, Liquid framework, and Shopify best practices).
• Proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD), and Sketch.
• Strong understanding of eCommerce UX/UI principles, conversion optimization, ADA compliance and mobile-first design.
• Experience with motion design, micro-interactions, and UI animations is a plus.
• Passion for beauty, trends, and creating aesthetically bold digital experiences.
• Ability to balance creativity with business goals, making data-driven design decisions.

Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
