Responsibilities
- Provide strategic legal advice and guidance to the US and European business units, management, and stakeholders.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a high volume and wide range of commercial contracts, including customer, supplier, and partnership agreements, supply agreements, IP licensing agreements, sales agreements, development agreements, services agreements, and confidentiality agreements
- Ensure compliance with US federal and state laws and regulations, as well as international standards.
- Negotiate and manage a high volume and wide range of commercial contracts,
- Provide advice on a variety of strategic, regulatory, and transactional matters for the supply chain team and other business units
- Facilitate resolution of legal disputes by drafting and responding to breach of contract claims
- Prepare and maintain contract forms to support Microvast?s businesses and operational areas
- Collaborate with colleagues worldwide to ensure consistency in contracts and risk allocation across Microvast?s various businesses
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, sales, HR, and compliance.
Qualifications
- Legal qualification and active license to practice law in Texas
- Minimum 6 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in an international industrial or manufacturing environment
- Preferred 4 years of legal experience spent at a law firm, preferably in projects or corporate department
- Proven track record of supporting fast-growing businesses and organizations
- Strong knowledge of US commercial, corporate, and regulatory law
- International professional experience a plus
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
- Act as a trusted advisor to the business, providing practical solutions and a can-do attitude in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to proactively identify problems, drive projects, make complex cost/benefit assessments, and identify pragmatic legal and business solutions
- Capability to work independently and collaboratively while managing competing priorities in a fast-paced, challenging environment
- Quick and flexible learning ability with strong analytical skills, intellectual curiosity, adaptability, and comfort with ambiguity and risk
- High standards, impeccable integrity, ethical conduct, and sound judgment
- Willingness to travel as needed; experience working with European headquarters is a plus.
