Role and Responsibilities

Experience in complete project life cycle activities on development and maintenance projects.

To support the investigation and implementation of other improvements and developments, identified by the wider business, to enhance the performance of our digital platforms.

Work alongside software developers and architects, UX / UI visual designers, and product developers

Understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and approaches

Experience in Agile development practices

Ability to get things done without being micromanaged

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Require minimal supervision and provide oversight for assigned projects

Prepare proposals and time estimates for future work

Schedules work to meet completion dates and technical specifications

Proven ability to be effective and adaptable in response to frequent change and ambiguity

Required Skills

10+ years building sites using: CMS, Java, J2EE, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, or Vue

8+ years' experience maintaining and administering CMS

3+ years' experience with creating responsive websites in Contentful

Designing and developing infrastructure for modern contentful based web pages

Design and create content models that define the structure and relationships of content types, such as articles, products, images, and videos.

In-depth knowledge of Contentful is crucial. This includes understanding content modeling, using Contentful APIs (RESTful or GraphQL), managing content types, and working with entries and assets within the Contentful CMS.

Implementing according to designs visuals for components and individual pages

Experience in integrating 3rd party services (translation) to contentful

Migrate WP-based content to contentful by mapping it to the contentful data model and building necessary tools to automate the task

Advanced React JS front end skills, nodejs, typescript, nextjs/gatsby

Static HTML and SSR experience,

Knowledge about visualizing contentful data for the web,

Setting up the infrastructure to deliver nextjs generated web pages to end-users and for editor preview including CI pipeline and CDN

Extensive experience developing complex web applications with React, Hooks, and TypeScript

Building reusable components and front-end libraries for future use

Optimizing components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers
