RUCKUS's Hardware Engineering Team is hiring

for an experienced Compliance engineer to join us. As a member of the team, you will be responsible for managing local compliance and safety testing for all products, including 802.11 devices in the 2.4, 5GHz and 6GHz bands.

How you'll help us connect the world:

Work with on-site at local compliance labs to supervise RF, EMC and safety testing.

Generate and execute regulatory test plans for US, European, and Worldwide product testing and certification.

Review test reports generated by 3rd party testing laboratories.

Document product configuration, setup, and procedures.

Drive 3rd party lab personnel to complete testing on schedule.

Solve initial issues. Escalate to design engineer as appropriate.

Prepare and pre-test product in the Ruckus lab before submitting for certifications.

Communicate status of certification efforts to multi-functional team.

Stay abreast of regulatory changes and new requirements; interpret those that may affect Ruckus products.

Obtain the most favorable test results possible by utilizing superior knowledge of regulations.

Required Qualifications:

5-10 years' experience in RF and EMC compliance testing and experience in working with labs.

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or RF Engineering

In depth knowledge of FCC, CE and other worldwide regulations and certification schemes related to RF and EMC.

Familiarity with vendor WiFi RF test tools such as QCA QDART.

Familiarity with Linux command line to configure embedded hardware.

Ability to debug regulatory issues in a lab environment in real-time.

Knowledge of RF and microwave circuits, impendence matching, interconnections, etc.

Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to drive vendors to complete projects in a timely manner.

Good written and verbal communication skills.

Strong time management, prioritization and organizational skills.

Start-up attitude is essential.

Our salary ranges consider various factors, including but not limited to benchmarking by independent third-party consultants, skills, years of experience, training, education, geography, and other business needs. Depending on experience, the range can be higher for candidates with outstanding experience and a demonstrated history of successful performance. This position's expected total compensation (base salary and commission range) is $118,600.00 -$160,000.00
