Senior Commercial Counsel

As our Senior Corporate Counsel, you will lead a dynamic team supporting our global sales organization. The Senior Corporate Counsel will report to the VP, Associate General Counsel. This is a remote position in the United States.

• You will lead a team of lawyers focused on supporting global sales efforts, managing a high volume of lower-complexity commercial deals.

• Collaborate with global sales leadership, becoming their go-to partner in accelerating deal cycles.

• Build internal documentation, like negotiation playbooks, guidelines, FAQs, and training sessions, to empower both sales teams and legal colleagues.

• Spot opportunities to simplify processes, driving efficiency through better tools, streamlined policies, or clearer guidelines.

• Contribute to a positive, fun, and supportive team culture, encouraging a curiosity, and learning.

• Provide practical legal guidance to sales teams, balancing risks with our goals to promote successful outcomes.

• Review, negotiate, and draft commercial agreements, including SaaS and subscription services agreements and related commercial contracts.

• Develop, trust-based relationships with senior sales leaders and other partners (Finance, Operations, Deal Desk, etc.).

• You will Identify, develop, and roll out process improvements to increase deal velocity and reduce friction in deal cycles.

• You will ensure consistency and quality control across global deal negotiations, aligning with company policies, compliance requirements, and risk tolerance.

• You will deliver training sessions to sales and legal teams to lead education, confidence, and self-sufficiency around commercial contracting processes.

• JD degree and active bar membership in good standing.

• 8+ years of legal experience, in technology, SaaS, or similar.

• You have leadership experience, including managing teams, developing lawyers, and promoting an inclusive culture.

• Strong commercial acumen, with a knack for simplifying complex legal concepts into applicable business advice.

• Experience developing practical resources, such as playbooks, templates, and negotiation guidelines.

• Adaptability, curiosity, and a healthy sense of humor: you believe work can and should be enjoyable.

Pay Range Details

The base pay range(s) below are provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be
different in other locations.

Colorado $166,100-$274,100 (annually)
Washington $166,100-303,100 (annually)
California $166,100-331,900 (annually)
NYC $$201,100-331,900 (annually)

The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the state listed. The
successful candidate?s actual salary/wage may be based on various factors, such as geographic
location, candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
This role is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance, depending on
the terms of the applicable plan and the employee?s role
