Senior Accountant

SUMMARY

Prince Industries is currently seeking a Senior Accountant to join our team. They will work under the guidance of the Accounting Manager and will focus on a variety of duties including month end closing of multiple divisions and assisting with financial reporting for the company. This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented individual who can dive into financial data, troubleshoot issues, and resolve discrepancies with minimal supervision.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for month end close for multiple divisions
• Preparing journal entries
• Bank reconciliations
• Review and maintain balance sheet reconciliations
• Maintain fixed assets and monitor depreciation
• Analyze financial data and provide insights to management for decision-making
• Maintain and update internal and external financial reports
• Identify and recommend process improvements within accounting and reporting procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy
• Payroll processing and entries, Benefits analysis
• Assists with inventory counts and standard cost setting
• File various government reports and process sales and use tax
• Support audits by providing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries
• Operating in Excel daily for documentation
• Utilizing ERP system
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor

REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to work on a variety of tasks daily with minimal supervision
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and written in a professional manner.
• Ability to effectively interact with all levels of the company and with customers.
• Excellent computer skills including payroll software, ERP systems and Microsoft office suite.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
• Keeps all personnel information confidential and private.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior accountant role, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Epicor experience is a plus.
