Accountant

SUMMARY

Prince Industries is currently seeking an Accountant to join our team. They will work under the guidance of the Accounting Manager and will focus on a variety of duties including month end closing, fixed assets, payroll entries, and audit reporting. This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented individual who can dive into financial data, troubleshoot issues, and resolve discrepancies with minimal supervision.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for month end close for multiple divisions.
• Preparing journal entries
• Bank reconciliations
• Review and maintain balance sheet reconciliation
• Maintain fixed asset entries and monitor depreciation
• Analyze financial data and provide insights to management for decision-making
• Assists with inventory counts
• File various government reports and process sales and use tax.
• Support audits by providing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries
• Back up for A/P invoice entry and A/R cash receipts application.
• Daily invoicing of shipments, including international invoices on demand.
• Apply cash receipts and payable invoices into accounting software.
• Prepares the daily sales report and distributes it to appropriate personnel.
• Operating in Excel daily for documentation.
• Utilizing ERP system.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to work on a variety of tasks daily with minimal supervision
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and written in a professional manner.
• Ability to effectively interact with all levels of the company and with customers.
• Excellent computer skills including payroll software, ERP systems and Microsoft office suite.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
• Keeps all personnel information confidential and private.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting and/or payroll.
• Experience in manufacturing or machining is preferred.
• Epicor experience is preferred.
