As a Sr. Account Manager for Amazon Autos, you will be the primary point of contact for our valued dealer partners, serving as the bridge between Amazon and automotive retailers. In this role, you'll be responsible for fostering strong relationships with your portfolio of dealers. You'll work closely with dealers to support the onboarding of net-new dealers to our platform, resolve issues, ideate scalable solutions, and build client-relationships. Ability to manage multiple workflows in a fast-paced environment and active participation in continuous improvement initiatives are essential. Above all, you must demonstrate a high level of ownership and the ability to thrive in ambiguity.

Key job responsibilities

1. Strategic Growth: Partner with dealers to drive sustainable business growth on Amazon through data-driven insights and marketplace expertise. Create and present compelling solutions that meet and exceed customer goals. Educate Dealers on growth opportunities through tools, policies, products and programs.

2. Operational Support: Drive the end-to-end onboarding process for new dealerships joining Amazon's platform. Provide tactical support with operational tasks to help the dealers onboard and effectively manage their accounts. Identify and address issues, focusing on root causes rather than symptoms.

3. Field Support & Engagement: Build and maintain strong dealer relationships through regular on-site visits and store walks. Monitor account health and identify opportunities through direct engagement. Provide in-person consultation to ensure dealer success and strengthen partnerships.

4. Process Improvement: Identify, develop, and implement scalable solutions that benefit a broad customer base. This includes streamlining tools and processes, simplifying standard operating procedures (SOPs), and collaborating with external teams to align programs for maximum efficiency.

A day in the life

As a Sr. Account Manager, you will be based in our office. You will travel onsite to meet with dealers several times a year across cross several metro locations. You will work cross-functionally with our internal partners across Seller Experience, Seller Operations, Product Management, Program Management and UX and externally with GM-level dealer personnel and/or VP-level dealer group contacts. Your primary responsibilities will include: (1) supporting the overall onboarding of new dealers to our marketplace, project managing them through the process (2) partnering with dealers to drive sustainable business growth on Amazon through data-driven insights and marketplace expertise, and (3) advocating on behalf of the dealers, managing client relationships and strategizing ways to grow their business on Amazon.

About the team

We are a newly formed rapidly growing team with a vision to create innovative discovery and shopping experiences on Amazon, providing customers better convenience and more selection. We're collaborating with other experienced teams at Amazon to define the future of how customers research and shop for products in the complex automotive space. This role is part of the Amazon Ads org and is focused on vehicle sales.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

5+ years sales, account management, or customer success experience in a related industry including automotive, retail, logistics, or technology

Proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously

Experience analyzing data to assess and improve customer performance and/or experience

20-25% travel required

Preferred Qualifications

Automotive industry knowledge or dealership experience

Experience leading cross-functional projects

Experience using Salesforce.com or other CRM tools

Proven track record in successfully launching and positioning new products in the market

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly in both written and verbal formats
