Seed Laboratory Supervisor

Our client, a leader in vegetable and flower seeds industry, is seeking a

Seed Germination Laboratory Supervisor

to join their team. As a Seed Germination Laboratory Supervisor, you will be part of the Seed Operations Department supporting various teams.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, at least 5 years of experience working in a Germination Laboratory, and a commitment to continuous improvement , which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Salinas, CA

Pay Range:

$92,000 - $105,000+

What's the Job?

Manage all aspects of physiology and physical purity seed testing.

Coordinate activities with breeding, customer service, logistics, warehouse, and production departments.

Train company employees in seed testing requirements and compliance with regulations.

Monitor performance and adjust workloads to meet business goals.

Maintain accurate inventory of lab supplies and ensure timely procurement.

What's Needed?

Bachelor's degree in Plant Science or related fields.

Registered Seed Technologist (RST) certification (or ability to get that within 90 days of hire).

At least 5 years of managerial experience in a progressive role, preferably in a seed germination laboratory.

Strong understanding of regulatory requirements for seed testing.

Bilingual in English and Spanish highly desired.
