Security Specialist (MSC)

RMC is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Security Specialist to support the issuance and management of Common Access Cards (CACs) for authorized personnel, including military members, civilian employees, and contractors.

• Issue, verify, and manage Common Access Cards.
• Perform accurate data entry in systems such as DEERS (Defense Eligibility Enrollment Reporting System) and Real-time Automated Personnel Identification System (RAPIDS).
• Ensure access control and compliance with security protocols.
• Provide excellent customer service, assisting individuals with CAC-related questions or issues.
• Operate computer systems, including DEERS and RAPIDS, to manage access permissions.
• Develop and maintain Standardized Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Support in ensuring compliance with material records management procedures.

Requirements

• Previous history and knowledge of how to handle secure information in an office environment
• An Associate's Degree with five (5) years of relevant experience or a High School diploma or GED equivalent with six (6) years of relevant experience is required.
• Advanced working knowledge of MS Office and a willingness to learn other duties as assigned.
• Must have a working knowledge of processing CAC/USID/R/DEERS/TRICARE needs.
• Working knowledge of DISS and Lenel systems is desired.
• The candidate must also have a high degree of customer focus and provide exceptional customer service.
• An active DoD secret clearance is required to start. Applicant selected may be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Salary at RMC is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, a candidate's specific combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific requirements. The current salary range for this position will be $50,000 to $60,000 annually.

High School or equivalent
