Security Analyst I

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Security Analyst to join our SECOPs team. As a Security Analyst, you will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and coordinating mitigation steps to potential security risks to our organization's infrastructure, systems, and data. You will play a critical role in ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our information assets, as well as maintaining compliance with relevant regulations and industry best practices. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, risk assessment methodologies, and possesses excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Requirements

1. Identify and assess security risks:Conduct comprehensive security assessments to identify vulnerabilities,weaknesses, and potential threats to our organization's infrastructure,systems, and data.
2. Incident response and threatmanagement: Monitor security events, investigate potential incidents, andrespond promptly to security breaches or threats. Analyze security logsand data to identify patterns or indicators of compromise.
3. Vulnerability management: Performregular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identifyweaknesses in our systems and infrastructure. Collaborate with relevantteams to prioritize and remediate vulnerabilities in a timely manner.
4. Security monitoring and analysis:Utilize security information and event management (SIEM) tools to monitorand analyze security events and alerts. Identify and respond to securityincidents, including conducting root cause analysis and implementingnecessary measures to prevent future incidents.
5. Security policy and compliance:Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, procedures, andguidelines to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industrystandards (Monitor and enforce compliance across the organization.)
6. Security awareness and training:Develop and deliver security awareness programs and training materials toeducate employees on best practices for data protection, safe internetusage, and security incident reporting.
7. Security documentation andreporting: Prepare detailed reports on security findings, riskassessments, incident response activities, and other security-relatedmatters. Communicate findings, recommendations, and status updates torelevant stakeholders, including management and technical teams.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor'sdegree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, GIAC) are highly desirable.
2. Provenexperience working as a Security Analyst or in a similar role, preferablyin a large enterprise environment.
3. Strongknowledge of information security principles, frameworks, and bestpractices (e.g., NIST Cybersecurity Framework, OWASP, CIS Controls).
4. Experiencewith security assessment methodologies, tools, and techniques, includingvulnerability scanning, penetration testing, and risk assessments.
5. Familiaritywith security monitoring tools, SIEM solutions, and log analysis.
6. Solid understandingof network protocols, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems,and other security technologies.
7. Knowledgeof cloud security concepts and technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is aplus.
8. Excellentanalytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to thinkcritically and make sound decisions under pressure.
9. Strongcommunication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complexsecurity concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
10. Demonstratedability to work independently, as well as collaboratively in a teamenvironment.
11. Strongattention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of dataintegrity and security.
