Kelowna Human Resources is looking for a skilled Scrum Master to join our energetic team. As a Scrum Master, you will play a vital role in facilitating the Agile development process, ensuring that the team adheres to Scrum practices and principles. Your responsibilities will include coaching team members, promoting collaboration, and removing any impediments that may hinder the team's progress. You will work closely with Product Owners and stakeholders to define product roadmaps and prioritize backlogs to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Agile methodologies, excellent communication skills, and the ability to foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team. Responsibilities
  • Facilitate daily stand-up meetings, sprint planning, retrospectives, and other Scrum ceremonies.
  • Coach team members on Agile practices and provide guidance on the Scrum framework.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners to refine the product backlog and ensure that it is prioritized effectively.
  • Identify and help resolve impediments that may hinder team progress.
  • Foster an environment of open communication and collaboration within the team.
  • Monitor team performance and progress, reporting on key metrics and improvement opportunities.
  • Act as a liaison between the development team and stakeholders, ensuring alignment and transparency.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar Agile role.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum.
  • Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, or equivalent) is preferred.
  • Excellent facilitation, coaching, and mentoring skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster collaboration among team members.
  • Ability to identify and resolve conflicts in a constructive manner.
  • Experience in managing software development projects is an advantage.
